Those first few transitional weeks when summer skulks away and crisp, autumn days ensue, make up my favourite time of year. I can legitimately nestle into a wooly jumper, but there’s just enough blue sky visible to warrant wearing that denim mini skirt I bought towards the end of summer that I’m just not ready to pack away for the next eight months.
It’s indisputably the best time to pick up the pillars of your Autumn Winter wardrobe and I for one am more than ready for the change, but I have a penchant for mixing warm weather and cold weather pieces. Short skirts and baggy jumpers, fancy heels and masculine jeans, floral maxi dresses worn with a black turtle neck and tights underneath; these are all favourite combinations.
This Weekday knit is made for those cold grey days when you don’t want to have to think about what to wear. Thin enough to be worn under coats and tucked into skirts. These Gucci inspired leather loafers will be worn to death over the next few months no doubt, with opaque tights, fishnet socks and jeans. However, since we have roughly a fortnight before monsoon season begins here in Manchester, I’m taking every opportunity to bare my pins before they’re confined to 60 denier tights.
