My first foray into YouTubing *GULP.
So I’ve been umming and ahhing about making YouTube videos of my travels for quite some time now. Just before we went to Cape Town, I decided I would regret it if I didn’t capture at least some footage, if not for publishing on YouTube, then just to look back on. I’m so glad I took the GoPro and actually used it, as it turned out to be my favourite trip so far.
As much as I love writing about my travels, nothing ever quite captures the vibes of a place, and I think video is the closest you can get to doing that. I plan to make a mixture of travel, recipe, general life and style videos for my new channel, and would love it if you could hop on over and subscribe.
Please forgive the shoddy camera handling, and awkward ‘trying to be myself but less sweary’ talking bits. I’m learning as I go with this. I’ve put it off for so long knowing my first 10 (or 100) videos would be a bit crap and cringe, but as with everything, you’ve got to start from somewhere. Although you certainly cannot tell, it took me the best part of two days to hash this video together (!). I’m really enjoying learning a whole new platform and I hope you’ll join me in this new project.
Thanks so much in advance for watching and supporting. It’s a scary thing, putting yourself out on there, but I enjoy being creative and playing around with it (it being how I portray myself online). If anyone else has a project in mind that they keep putting off, I urge you to just do it. It probably won’t be perfect, but everybody has to start somewhere and you never know what it could lead to.
Anyway, thanks for watching!
